What do we do?
Many of us have treasured photos, old posters, holiday snaps, Exam certificates or memorabilia sitting around at home or in the loft? Maybe it’s an eye-catching album cover or picture bought whilst on holiday, or even a football shirt, commemorative items, medals or awards?Most of us do not bother to get these items mounted or framed; usually because of the cost or complexity associated with visiting a specialist within a retail setting.
Neil Malyon set up Sussex Framing Services in 2005; initially to save money and control the framing of his own Photography, and then latterly to offer mobile mounting and framing services within the Sussex and Southern Home Counties region.
Neil also set up this website to showcase his photography and provide the opportunity to purchase his mounted or framed photos of the Sussex coastline and countryside.
Sussex Framing Services offers a broad selection of picture and object mounting techniques, with a vast range of materials and colours from traditional wooden frames through to contemporary aluminium. Work is mounted using conservation grade “ph neutral” products that won’t allow bleaches and acids in paper and adhesives to damage your artwork. Various qualities of glass can be used to control Ultra Violet damage, and if safety or item weight is a concern, then acrylic “glass” can also be used.
Neil will pick up and deliver your pictures for framing*, he'll also offer advice on positioning to get the most out of them, and even provides a picture hanging service if you're not confident with a hammer.
